The Dream of Life by Alan Watts

Winners win in advance.

Have you heard the term Mental Toughness?

Mental toughness refers to training your mind to focus on positive thoughts about your performance and success.

Any negative reactions, thoughts, memories, feelings, ideas, beliefs, behaviors, habits, or limitations of any kind, are immediately identified and interrupted and replaced with a new focus on creating the most beneficial outcome possible in each situation that may arise.

Easily overcome and avoid stress by releasing any and all negative thoughts in the first place and replacing them with positive feeling thoughts that bring relief and satisfaction.

Hypnosis connects you to your unconscious mind on your own, so you begin getting the best results possible.

"Mental toughness comes from repeatedly and consistently recovering from stress and adversity by being determined, focused, confident, resilient, and in control under pressure.

When the going gets tough and you want to quit, have a set, prepared, thought process ready to go.

Thoughts lead to emotions.

Emotions lead to behaviors and performance.

Performance = Potential - Interference.

You can have all the head knowledge in the world but it isn't worth much if it doesn't get into your body ... your cellular structure.

Ways to do that: Experience, Imagination, Emotion."

(The above comments about Mental Toughness come from my colleague, Craig Sigl.)

Mental toughness is about not being affected by anything but what’s going on in the game or competition or any area of your life, no matter what is happening or what other people are doing. It’s being able to block out what’s not important.

Quickly get over making any mistakes. Be able to move past mistakes or failures and reach your goal.

Relax and focus in the midst of hectic surroundings.

Begin to "program" your mind to achieve the results you want.

Find and access the strength and resources you already have, while releasing anything that does not support you in getting the results you want.

Easily reaching your goals.

Keep going even if things get tough.

Bounce back, refocus, and make your goals a reality.
Quickly noticing if you do lose focus.

Easily be able to refocus quickly and get back to your best performance.

Stay positive, let go of distractions or tension, becoming more and more resilient.

What if you no longer allow the stresses involved to become larger than the joy and pleasures of playing the game or accomplishing the task.

Use the power of imagination. If the human mind is capable of imagining something, it's capable of making it happen.

Calmly repeating your success, in your mind's eye, over and over...

Release any worry of comparing yourself to others or matching up in a particular way.

Learning and improving with every effort.

Any mistakes are now easily released. Be easy on yourself during any setbacks and pick yourself up.

The only true failure is to give up, so congratulate yourself on your effort, regroup, and begin again.

Feeling calm and centered, no matter what is about to happen.

No longer allow life’s uncertainties, or any situation that may lead to uneasiness or inner tension, to can stand in the way of our best efforts.

Easily overcome and avoid stress by releasing any and all negative thoughts in the first place and replacing them with positive feeling thoughts that bring relief and satisfaction.

no pressure

Sometimes when you have had a problem for a long time, it may seem hard to balance the complexity of accepting it, while at the same time pursuing a solution and getting your hopes up.

Hypnosis is very positive and gentle, with no pressure to force you to make any changes that do not support you completely. Trust your intuition as to when the timing is right for you.

Emotions, health and stress.

Don’t ever feel guilty about scheduling time in for relaxation — it’s fundamental to balance, whether that’s in your stress hormones or your life as a whole!

Taking steps today to reduce stress in your life has implications even greater than finding happiness and peace — it means you are preventing disease and preserving your health and longevity.

With the incidence of stress-related illness and lost years of lives increasing every decade, we absolutely have to take stress seriously. Stress may be a reality in our lives, but we don’t have to let it overpower us or prevent us from being our true selves.

Untying the knots at the root of chronic stress offers us long-lasting physical and psychological benefits.

In 1998, groundbreaking research known as the ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) study, verified that our childhood experiences remain inside the body and can affect our lifelong health.

The acronym NUTS stands for Novelty, Unpredictability, Threat to the ego, and Sense of loss of control.

Each of these situations lead to physical stress in the body, and the more of them you encounter, the more hyperactivated your body’s stress response becomes. But you can learn (or be taught) to recognize when you’re responding to one or any combination of these “ingredients,” redirect yourself, and stop yourself from “going NUTS.” This acronym works for both short-term stress and long-term stress, real threats or perceived ones.

INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY

Tip #1: Drink your water. So don’t wait until you get that thirsty feeling in your mouth. By that point you are already dehydrated, which can impair your physical and mental functioning. Don’t fool yourself into thinking any type of liquid counts toward your water intake. Liquids like coffee or cola dehydrate you.

Tip #2: Avoid sugar and simple carbohydrates. Sugar and simple carbohydrates get absorbed immediately into the bloodstream. In response, your blood sugar rises, and your body secretes insulin to bring your sugar level back down. Unfortunately, your body doesn’t know when you’ve stopped eating the candy, so it drops you down into a low blood sugar level by taking too much sugar out of your body. This is why people who rely on sugar for energy have highs and lows throughout the day. But candy isn’t the only culprit. Simple carbohydrates, such as a white bread sandwich and some dessert at lunchtime, can cause your blood sugar to drop after an hour or two. To avoid this, incorporate more proteins and complex carbohydrates into your diet. They won’t trigger blood sugar highs and lows, putting you more on an even keel.

Tip #3: Eat small meals. Have six small meals over the course of the day instead of three large ones. When you eat a big meal in one sitting, it overwhelms your body, causing it to work harder to digest the food. As a result, the digestive process diverts blood away from your brain and your extremities and uses it in the digestive track. With smaller meals, your body doesn’t have to work as hard.

Tip #4: Evaluate your lighting. Cool white fluorescent light tubes have a terrible effect on how people feel and function. A better option is full spectrum light, as these simulate the wavelength of sunlight. Studies have shown that full spectrum lighting provides many benefits: headaches disappear and afternoon fatigue declines, while productivity levels actually rise.

Tip #5: Take walking breaks. Walking gets your blood circulating, helps you breathe better, and stimulates your brain due to the increased blood flow. Take a five or ten minute walk during the day. Walking outside will give you the extra benefit of fresh air. If you don’t have time to take a walk, run up and down the stairs for two minutes. That will give you the same benefits in half the time.

Tip #6: Meditate. Meditation is great for rejuvenating your body. Each time you meditate, you’ll feel like you just took a six-hour nap. By meditating for fifteen to twenty minutes twice a day, you’re keeping your body continually energized. If you do run into a slump, meditating for a quick five minutes can immediately re-energize you. Physiologically, when you meditate, you go into a state that’s similar to deep sleep. Your heart rate, breath rate, and vital signs are lower than the normal state of sleep, so in effect, you give your cells and your body a tremendous amount of rest in a very short period of time.

Tip #7: Take your vitamins and supplements. Several vitamins have an energizing affect on your body so take them every day. You get the maximum benefit from your vitamins when you divide your dose throughout the day and take them with a meal. For example instead of taking 100 milligrams once a day, take fifty milligrams with breakfast and fifty with lunch. By doing so, you get much better absorption and greater benefit.

Tip #8: Listen to some music. Music can energize you, but choose carefully. Some music can actually weaken your system and fatigue you. Find some music you enjoy. Upbeat music can get your body into a more upward stance. If you are listening to music with lyrics, make sure they are positive and motivating.

Tip # 9: Take time to breathe and stretch. Deep breathing is another way to give yourself an energy boost. Your cells require an exchange of air in the lungs to get the waste products out of the body. If you’re not breathing enough, you’re getting a build-up of waste products. By doing some breathing exercises during the day, you’ll get a lot more fresh air into your system, your cells, and your brain.

Try this exercise: Breathe in slowly, filling your lower belly and stomach first, then the chest, and finally the shoulders while counting to seven. Then exhale slowly, starting to exhale at the shoulders first and finish with the stomach, again while counting to seven. Do this three to six times. When you do, you are dramatically increasing the exchange of fresh air in your body. Equally important is to stand up and stretch. When you stretch and move, you not only increase the blood flow in your body, but you are also stimulating the lymphatic system, which removes waste products from your body and only functions from muscular contractions. So if you are sitting for hours at a time, you are actually building up waste products in your body.

Tip #10: Handle negativity. Negative people and images can have a draining effect on your energy. Conversely, if you spend the day surrounded by positive people and images, you can feel energized by them. Make a conscious effort to stay positive. Replace any negative thoughts with a positive statement.

Get clear!

Get clear. Getting clear means your unconscious and conscious mind are in alignment, below your conscious awareness.

You can change your thoughts. Start noticing what goes through your head. If you don’t like it, start consciously changing it. Choose new thoughts.

Ask for whatever you want to do, be or have, but also be willing for the universe to give you something better.

Begin a new, healthier, happier life. Begin it right now. Look at your life and release any fear and feel the trust.

What does it feel like to consider already having what you want?

See it in your mind and feel it as if it is already complete. Feel the feeling of what you want, as if you already have it. The energy in the emotion will work to pull you toward what you want and pull what you want toward you.

Aren’t I only supposed to focus on the positive?

"To answer the question aren’t I only supposed to focus on the positive?

If you spill something on your floor would it be wise to ignore it and from that point forward only focus on where the floor is clean?

Could you really just ignore it and only focus on where it is clean and clear?

Could you really wipe the mess out of your mind if you don’t wipe it off the floor?

Wipe the mess off the floor so you no longer must pretend that something isn’t there.

Give yourself the freedom to move about where ever you want.

As you clear any limiting beliefs you give yourself permission to be in harmony with and receive what you truly want."

Rearranging one's perceptions and transforming one's self.

"Political activism is seductive because it seems to offer the possibility that one can improve society, make things better, without going through the personal ordeal of rearranging one's perceptions and transforming one's self."

Heart Focus, Heart Breathing, Heart Feeling

As you focus on the area of your heart, pretend your breathing is flowing in and out through your heart in a relaxed way … now, breathing just a little deeper than usual … allowing shifts to just happen …

Connect with your core heart feelings of appreciation, love, care, compassion, connection, forgiveness, grace and gratitude wash through every cell of your body.

As you do …use your intuition to recall a positive feeling … a time when you felt really good inside … experience it now … Allowing it to happen naturally.

Don't just "think" about it ... really feel these feelings of appreciation … of love … of care … you have towards a special person, pet, or place you enjoy, or an activity that is fun … it is often easier to let your unconscious do it easily and effortlessly … letting that flow and deepen in any other ways.

As you engage your heart intelligence you bring about an increase in the coherence of all your systems … and widen your heart rate variability wave as you create balance and harmony, enhance creativity … reduce stress, anxiety, and worry … make the changes you want to make in your life by aligning your heart and mind so your actions are genuine and effective.

Your emotions become aligned and in sync with your intentions … in balance and understanding on all levels.

From now on, when you notice and recognize any stress, any negative emotion or behavior pattern … imagine pushing an imaginary pause button and freeze the frame like you would while watching a movie using your remote control … this immediately begins to transfer energy from the perception of the problem to the possibility for its solution … as you notice how calm your mind and emotions are becoming.

Connect with positive feelings of appreciation, care, love, compassion, and forgiveness … this will attune your heart.

Now listen … using your intuition, common sense and sincerity … ask your heart “What would be a more efficient response to this situation … One that would minimize future stress?”

Receive insights and increase your capacity to arrive at convenient and practical solutions … accessing new resources, abilities and information that is now available to you.

With clarity and self awareness easily see the link between your thoughts, feelings, reactions and choices … you are now free to experience the good things in life for a change, now that you know what works.

Your own emotional resonance you send out from your coherent heart ... like a magnet ... attracting people, situations, and opportunities as you enjoy this state of appreciation, love, care, compassion, connection, forgiveness, grace and gratitude.

Personal Power

Personal power is the power to choose. Clear intention to move straight towards a goal. Spend the time to be very clear, asking for what you want and opening to receive it.

Become the person you've always wanted to be. Imagine stepping in to the fullest expression of yourself. What would that feel like? Notice your posture, how you hold your shoulders, the quality of your breathing, your facial expression, your overall energy level.

Every time you set your intention, simply step in to this image and your body will develop a "muscle memory," or an "energy imprint" of this pattern, making it easier for your mind to act upon.

State your problem or what you want to change. Intent releases power and energy.
State “This can change”.
State "I want this problem to go away"
State “I commit with the energy of certainty.”
State “Now I am willing to change in mind, body and spirit in harmony with what I desire.”

Recognize any negative situation and move past it to the positive benefit of the lesson learned from the experience, re-establishing health and balance. Balance and harmony are restored to you and everyone around you.
